Mustard Beans

1 16-ounce can wax beans or 9-ounce package frozen wax beans

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup vinegar

3 tablespoons prepared mustard

1/2 teaspoon instant minced onion

1/4 teaspoon salt

Combine 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup vinegar, 3 tablespoons prepared mustard, 1/2 teaspoon instant minced onion, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.

Bring to boil, stirring till sugar is dissolved.

Add one 16-ounce can wax beans, drained, or one 9-ounce package frozen wax beans, thawed.

Simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes; cool.

Cover; refrigerate overnight.

Drain well before serving.
